On Being Ginormous

So...the fun of pregnancy has officially worn off. I'm in my 31st week and, according to the Dr., I'm measuring at 38--meaning that my uterus is the same size as someone about to give birth. I know I've got two in there, but it doesn't take away from the fact that I am measuring 4 FEET in circumference (actually, I'm 44 inches around).

Another thing. There are 8 baby limbs in there. That is equivalent to an octopus in movement. Sometimes, like yesterday, it can be nauseating.

Things I miss:
Tying my shoe
Shaving my legs
Seeing my shoes
Seeing my legs
Sleeping on my stomach
My stomach (which was never really that flat, but I'd give anything for it now)
Eating without heartburn
The ability to bend over and pick something up
Beer
Sushi

I'll stop complaining. Andrew's sick of hearing it, I'm sure. I have an ultrasound on Thursday to make sure the boys are growing concordantly. I'll post something after that.

Oh, and we're still up in the air about middle names. Bren (Brenn, Brynn) is looking good for Kerrick, but we're open to suggestions...

  1. I am so glad the two of you are keeping this blog! I love reading about what's going on!

Eight limbs---I'd never thought of it that way before.

  2. I'd go with Montaigne for a middle name. It would go nicely with the Irish first names-- like a crêpe with a Guinness...

Actually, maybe that doesn't sound so good.

  3. I love Kerrick Bryn Boles,or Bren, since there are already doubles in both first names ~ What about Cullen Drue Boles? Drue is variant of Drew and , or Dru.

    Love your Mother/Mamar
